The Roseberry BuildingThe first movie theater in Mullen, NE, was at the Roseberry building, which is now Vinton's Feed Store. This business commenced in 1910.

On January 10, 1919, the Hooker County Tribune quoted, “The first motion picture show in Mullen's new playhouse was given to the audience last Saturday afternoon and evening, without money and without price. It was a treat from the management, Mr. Hawley and Mr. Soreson, their way to start the ball rolling for a 3 times a week program. Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday public performances will be given during the long winter evenings. The bookings will be given to the public as fast as they are arranged for.”
