Three churches used to grace the streets of Seneca.
Home to a Catholic Church, Congregational Church,
and a Pentecostal Church, Seneca used to be bustling with activity.
Seneca, whose population was 500 at its peak in the mid 1900s, was a town of many businesses. 
A successful fur trading company had its base in Seneca and also a shop that sold and repaired shoes.
Hidden gun carriers, a rarity among products, were also manufactured in Seneca sometime in the 1930s.
A railroad cafe, open twenty-four hours a day, a roundhouse, and hotel were among many businesses brought to Seneca by the railroad.
