The Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) are a set of standardized, individually administered measures of early literacy development. They are designed to be short fluency measures used to regularly monitor the development of pre-reading and early reading skills.

 

Roxy Schow, DIBELS trainer, will offer this instructional session. 

 

Participants can expect to:

           ¥  find out about his research finding in relation to early                           literacy:

           ¥  learn how to administer, score and derive instructional                         recommendations from DIBELS:

           ¥  gain information on how to make data-based decisions                          about the needs of students and the adequacy of a

              schoolÕs core curriculum in meeting those needs.

 

Sponsored by Title IIA funds.

A $15 fee will be charged to consortium schools for meals, registration and materials.  Sub pay will be paid by Title IIA.  Schools not in Title IIA are welcome to attend for a $75 fee.
