The Honor Society had “SOME FUN” on November 29, 2007. They started their day quite early, leaving the school at 6:30 a.m. The Honor Society members arrived at Hershey three hours later for the sensational, Spanish-speaking Justo Lamas Concert. All 300 schools attending were from Nebraska. Hershey gym was decorated with many posters of Bienvenido Justo, meaning Welcome Justo and posters of Me Amor Justo, meaning I love Justo. Justo sang songs from his new album and told us in Spanish a story of his past about his struggles and how he followed and accomplished his dream. A local Spanish teacher translated. Abbey participated in the salsa dancing lesson that was given during Justo's break. Justo also picked five different students to participate in a contest of pronouncing te toca a ti, me toca a mi. This means your turn, my turn. Justo repeated the verses several times quickly. The students had to say this as fast as they could. Then the crowd had to listen and pick the winner of the competition. The winner was a boy from Hershey. After the concert, the Spanish Honor Society had a real treat dining at an authentic Spanish restaurant, La Casa Nueva. The day started too early and ended too soon. It was a great day for everyone.
