The Mission of Visual Art Department

of the Ogallala Middle School

Is to provide for students a safe environment

 And educational opportunities

that will

Cultivate interest and involvement

In the visual arts,

Increase understanding and respect

For themselves, humanity, cultural diversity and ecology,

And promote students to take an active role

In meaningful and lifelong learning

Through a curriculum which immerses students

in a rich body of content relating to

the nature and value of art, 

interpreting the meaning of art, 

and technical control of their own art making

so they can give form to their own ideas.
