In April of 1998, the Ogallala Public School Art Department was awarded a grant from the Excellence in Education Council of the State of Nebraska Department of Education
This grant purchased computers, scanners, and printers for the art department in order to accomplish these goals.
Goal #1: To enable students to achieve high academic standards in art through integration of discipline based art education and technology into the curriculum.
Goal #2: To individualize instruction in order to meet the needs of all learners.
Goal #3: To enable students to take a more active control of their own learning.
Goal #4: To provide students and educators in a rural, culturally disadvantaged area, with equal access to the information and resources available from state and national museums.
